The Marriott Miami Airport Complex consisted of the new construction of a 6-story Residence Inn and a 10-story Courtyard hotel located near the Miami International Airport. Architectural services for the project included the exterior renovation of the existing full-service Marriott as well as the addition of eye-catching entry features and wayfinding. The development had to stand out and become a highly sought after Miami destination in reputation. The design concept for the site focused primarily on creating a “cosmopolitan oasis” where business and vacation travelers could come together in a comfortable environment. The architectural and interior design of both lobbies are specifically geared to a time conscious traveler, featuring hi-tech amenities that could allow for remote airline and baggage check-in.
