Fresh off announcing The Related Group has become 50-50 partners with East End Capital on a mixed-use residential project in the Wynwood area, Wynwood 25 has some more interesting news: You have the opportunity to choose its new name.

The winner of this renaming competition will receive either three months’ free rent at the apartment complex (if he/she decides to live there) or a $2,500 cash prize with $250 in gift cards. Entries can be made via an online form at their website (www.wynwood25.com). They are encouraged to be creative; reflective of the project’s architectural design and amenities; and “connected to Wynwood’s vibrant spirit.”

The contest will run through June 16 at 8 p.m. and a winner will be announced at the project’s groundbreaking ceremony this summer.

Plans were originally filed for Wynwood 25 last summer and include 289 rental units, 31,000 square feet of retail, and 340 parking spaces. Kobi Karp is the architect with amenities featuring a fitness center, yoga studio, coffee lounge, work-from-home spaces, dog wash facilities, and 12,000 square feet of green courtyard.
